Funding Support

ATMCS7 has allotted a number of grants available to support researchers who wish to attend the conference. Priority will be given to early-career researchers, as well as to those with limited access to institutional financial support. To apply for an ATMCS participation grant only (without submitting a contribution), please assemble the following information and materials in a single PDF document to submit via EasyChair:

  1. A brief biosketch (at most 2 pages);

  2. A brief statement of interest in attending the conference (at most 750 words);

  3. An estimate of your cost of travel to Torino;

  4. Electronic contact information for 2 references.

Please upload the document as a paper submission with the title "Application for Funding Support".

Eligibility and support amount will be determined by the Scientific Committee. The initial deadline for applications is 4 April 2016; successful applicants will be notified by 25 April 2016.

Call for Contributions

ATMCS7 invites submissions in the following categories:

Contributed Short Talk (30 minutes) or Research Poster

Since the conference is single-tracked, the number of contributed short talks is quite limited and most applicants will be invited to present a research poster. To apply, please assemble the following information and materials in a single PDF document to submit via EasyChair:

  1. Title of Presentation;

  2. Authors (including affiliations and email addresses);

  3. Abstract (between 0.5 and at most 2 pages).

The decision on whether your submission will be invited for a short talk or research poster will be determined by the Scientific Committee. The deadline for applications is 4 April 2016; notification of decisions will be announced by 25 April 2016.

If you would like to apply for funding support in addition, please also include a current, at most 2-page biosketch, as well as an estimate of your cost of travel to Torino, for each author requesting support. Please do not submit a separate application for funding support.

Software Demo: Tools & Applications

This year, for the first time, ATMCS will hold a software demonstration session. The goal of this session is to concretely exposit direct applications of algebraic topology to applied sciences and engineering, as well as computer science, and highlight the importance of applications generated by the field. To apply, please assemble the following information and materials in a single PDF document to submit via EasyChair:

  1. Title of Presentation;

  2. Authors (including affiliations and email addresses);

  3. A short description of the software, addressing the following questions: What task does it perform? What is its novel contribution? What principles have guided the design of the user interface? What information is presented visually, and how? If available, a screenshot or link to a video demonstration; if providing a link to a video demonstration, please create a hyperlink in your PDF document using the command \href{} in LaTeX.

Submissions will be evaluated and invitations will be determined by the Scientific Committee. The deadline for applications is 4 April 2016; notification of decisions will be announced by 25 April 2016.

If you would like to apply for funding support in addition, please also included a current, at most 2-page biosketch, as well as an estimate of your cost of travel to Torino, for each author requesting support. Please do not submit a separate application for funding support.
