• Compositio Mathematica: The Foundation Compositio Mathematica is the foundation behind the journals Compositio Mathematica and Algebraic Geometry. It has the aim of publishing first class papers in the central areas of mathematical research and supporting mathematics and mathematical research. Compositio Mathematica itself was founded in the 1930s by L.E.J. Brouwer (known from the Brouwer Fixed Point Theorem and one of the founders of Algebraic Topology) after his clash with Hilbert concerning Mathematische Annalen. The Foundation dates back from 1950.

• ISI Foundation: The ISI Foundation – Institute for Scientific Interchange – was established in 1983 by the Regione Piemonte. Its core mission is the promotion of scientific research within the international cooperation, fostering the creation of research groups and of innovative and interdisciplinary labs, with a special focus on the science of complex systems.

• Politecnico di Torino: The Politecnico di Torino was founded in 1859 as Scuola di Applicazione per gli Ingegneri (Technical School for Engineers), and it became Regio Politecnico di Torino in 1906. A long history, which bore out the University as a reference point for education and research in Italy and in Europe, a Research University of international level which attracts students from more than 100 countries and which activates about 800 collaborations per year with industries, public institutions and local organizations.
